Rep Power: 0 Good price for ex-demo civic (UK)
Hi
I'm about to buy a 06 Civic. I've settled on a Petrol EX model. My local dealer has a 3000 mile demonstrator and they are offering
1.8 EX, Metallic paint, Rear camera, 17" Penta alloys, Bass + speaker upgrades, first 5 services, blue lighting, mats, sills etc. for £17,750. Before I sign on the dotted line, is that a good price?
thanks

Thats about 33,000 USD. Im not sure what a new EX goes for across the pond, but my new civic was 23K with navi, fog lights, ipod link, and day/night mirror. It sounds like the one you are considering is very nicely loaded! Compare it to the cost of a new one and the cost of the upgrades versus the 3000 kilos on the odometer. Remember, a factory demo means everyone in the dealership and perspective buyers have driven it hard and probally not been gentle with it during break in period.

Yes I agree. A test drive model is just that - used for testing.
People will try everything they can with that car.
I'd be asking for a heft discount on it and check the body too, most of the time they leave these models out in the sun and rain all day.

they all get left out in the sun and rain all day...
as far as the abuse.. that's what a warranty is for..
my parents got 5K us dollars off of their used demo vehicle, but it had a lot more miles on it that 3k km..... so i would say 2K pounds off is what you shoudl be looking for...

Rep Power: 0 Great. Thanks for the advice. I've gone ahead and bought it. Picking up tomorrow
My last few cars have all been new, so this is my first trip down 2nd hand alley for a while, but I gave it a really good look over.
It's going to get left out in the sun/rain/wind/snow/hail soon enough. I do about 50,000 miles per year so my cars die of overmilage rather than rusting away.
I've changed the 18" wheels for 17" as the 18"/30 section tyres are really expensive here.
thanks again
