shifting an auto :p much wear?

since nobody answered the question i asked about this in the "engine braking" thread, i thought i'd get more--or ANY--answers this way.
so lately--and only occasionally--i've been using D3 and 2 to downshift to get into higher RPMs and accelerate faster (ok, mostly just so it sounds louder lol). i know it'll cause SOME wear, but it is really something i shouldn't do? i'll definitely stop if it's bad for the car, so i want to know. btw, i also use D3 and 2 to just "stay" in that gear, not necessarily downshifting, but still waiting for it to rev higher before shifting to a higher gear.

and one more thing! don't flame me by saying "why the HELL didn't you get a manual if you want to shift so bad?!?! " it's my first car, and i didn't get a manual. that's that......sorry haha. thanks people
