It's all in using relays, I don't know how, but that's what I've seen used. From what I understand it was kind of hard to wire up but there might be a kit somewhere.

Here's a computer mod at Bit-tech that can probably be adapted for automotive use.

i dont want the 'knight-rider' thing......something that i could make certain bulbs to come on at certain times (sparkling effect)
kinda like when the even number bulbs are lit, the odd number ones arent...
