Install oil gauge
The sender is put in just like you would do for a Manuel. Suggest you use oil adapter kit from Autozone with the nylon tubing and don¡¦t directly connect the sender to the block. It will latter prove to be a bad idea over time if you do decide to connect sender straight to the block.
As for the gauge itself you can splice into the radio power or anything that is on only while the car is running. You can use a test light if you want to find the power wire.

On most hondas I know of it the sender is above the oil filter. I haven't changed the oil on my civic yet so I'm not 100% sure. My girl friend won't let me touch my car cause she afraid I might sneak some mods on.

This is really simple... take off the oil filter. Then look up there. You will see a black shroud with a wire running into it. Pull the shroud back and pull the clip that holds the wire to the sender. Now get yourself a 15/16" open ended wrench and remove the sender (it looks kinda like a short spark plug. Once you got it out, you will need to plumb an extension onto the port in order to get the autometer sender in there. The intake manifold gets in the way, so you need a 1/8" NPT to 4 AN 45 degree adapter... screw that into the block, make sure you use teflon sealing paste. Then attach a stainless braided wire (AN 4) to that fitting and run it to where ever you plan on mounting the T fitting with BOTH senders in it. You need to wire the stock idiot light sender back into the oil system or the light will come on.
I built a bracket that bolted to one of the holes for the stock air box and used U bolts to attach the T fitting to it. (DO NOT link the image, it is huge.)
Bracket
www.jegs.com has everything you will need to do it... the SS lines and fittings are about $35. I used Earl's lines, but there are other brands. Make sure you do it right or you'll leak oil everywhere.
