Air/Fuel ratio guage(Searched already)

How did everyone run there wires from the inside of the car to the engine, and what wire do i hook the red wire from the guage to? I know it is a 12V power source but which wire is it in the engine exactly? thanks! Also how exactly do you splice wires to hook a new wire into them?

The Yellow/Green stripe wire that goes to the cig lighter is 12V.
If you pull back the carpet in the passenger footwell, you'll see a huge bundle of wires going through the firewall... tape the wires you want to go through to a wire hanger and push them through... then go under the car in the and pull them through.

To splice wires go to a hard ware store and buy 'tap splices'... with these, you can just add wires to existing ones without having to cut or strip them.

It's a yellow wire with a green stripe. Pull real hard on the panel that the cig lighter is on and it will pop off. You'll see the wires going to the outlet. Then I took the console off and ran the wires up underneath into the center console... my gauges are where the cig lighter used to be. Everything is grounded to the engine block ground on the front right corner of the engine.

I want to mount mine on top of the dashboard, is there anyway to get the wires to be hidden for the most part from there?

There is a path if you remove the gauge bezel, I can't remember if you also have to remove the cluster itself, but you can drop wires down through the dash board and they'll come out in the lower dash panel (cig lighter panel. That's how I ran the dash light power in there.
Just pull the bezel off and look on the right side, there should be a space.

Black plastic ring in front of the gauge cluster. Take out the 2 screws and pull.

Open the hood and look right down below the header. You will see a "plug (O2 sensor)" in the downpipe with some wires coming out of it. Trace the wires back up to the right front corner of the engine block, right below the radiator hose. You will see a grey connector. if you push back the shroud over the wires that run between the O2 sensor and the connector plug. There is 1 black wire, that's the one you need to tap. Put a tap splice in it, add the wire to the gauge and that's it. Add 12V and ground and you're done. It shouldn't really take more than 30 minutes to get the wiring done start to finish.

NO MORE GUESSING!!!!
Here, you hook the purple wire from the gauge to the BLACK wire that runs from the O2 Sensor to the connecting plug. (The green wire in the pic runs through the firewall where it is connected to the purple wire. The red thing is a tap splice)
