need suggestions on painting interior
Okay, I have the aluminum trim kit and have an idea. You know the abs plastic cover, the first one you take off when removing the gauge cluster, before you get to the clear platic cover, held in by the two vertical screws, I want to paint that aluminum. What is the best way of going about it? I was thinking of roughing it up with some wet sand paper, then using some good alum. spray paint. I've seen some cars with some nice looking interior color schemes, any suggestions? I want it to look good, look is important. How hard can it be, it's only abs plastic?

first clean it with rubbing alcohol to get the oils off. Next prep with sandpaper, but do it very very lightly. Next spray primer evenly and let dry. next spray 1-3 coats of spray paint. next spray 1-3 coats of clear coat.
I know u said to sand the parst lightly but what about the trim aound center dash console, its already pretty smooth, dose it need to be sanded too? sorry to ask the same question im just alittle nervous about doin this to my car.
