P&P might work, but too much hurts low end, a piece of mind if anyone wants to keep streetability, it will work, don't over do it. Large intake port volume = high rpm breathability = low rpm port velocity. Velocity is power.

I got a quote that it would cost me around $500 CDN to do it. But no doubt cheaper elsewhere.

about $500-1000 depending on the amount shaved and such..also the ports are not polished..the Port and Polish term was used in the 50's and stuck...polished ports mean less air flow..it has to do with the same reason golf ***** have dimples.. the heads just ported and left with their machined finish..(scratchy)..

It lets more air into the intake..it does not really affect low end at all. air is still limited by your throttle body. You can have huge ports and still have the same low end..just step on the gas less..and step on it progressivly more as revs build..
