Iimmobilizer canadain civic dx

Does the 2002 Canadian DX have an imboilizer?
i need to know before i get the alarm that has a remote start built into it. The car is a standard and the alarm is made for a standard as well.

No, there is no immobiliser system on Canadian Civics. The only protection agains theifs is your coded key

isnt' that part of the immobilzer system.
cause when u don't have that key with the same code u can't start the car.

all 2001-UP civic have an "Immobilizer ". all u need to start ur car is a "by-pass module", should only run u $80.

FRogger is right.. ALL civics (and newer HOndas) have "immobilizer" STD the coded key is part of the system...

you dont even need a "by-pass module" just have the installer hide the valet key in the roof....that should do the trick
