Painting springs?
I just got a set of Goldlines this weekend and I'm not too fond of the yellow. I have been thinking about taking and getting them painted to something else before I install them. I'm thinking about painting them some sort of blue to go along with my whole color scheme. Now, in painting these, should I use high heat paint or could I paint them with just regular paint? My guess would be just regular paint as they're not really going to get that hot. Any ideas?

the rears might not but i'm sure the fronts are... also remember springs flex and such so you have to get some sort of flexable paint... its not like you could even see the front ones so maybe just paint the rears... i think they powder coat the springs normally but if you decide to diy just make sure it flexes...

Hrmm. Good idea. I really didn't think about them flexing or anything. I know a guy that does powdercoating, so I'll have to talk to him and see how much it'll cost for him to do it. I also want him to two-tone my valve cover for me.

most people aren't going to see your springs. but hey, it's your decision. my springs are red and i have a silver car which dont' match imo, but no one can see them anyway. personally i would save the money for somethign else.

well, if you get rims like i've got, you're going to be able to see into the wheel well a little easier and you'll see the spring. besides, it also looks good for when you go to a show and take off one of your tires so people can see your suspension.

your going to show off your goldlines??? i mean if you had hydrolics, air bags, true coilovers or some crazy art work(i saw someone have a mural that even ran inside his fender wells) then i would understand but your going to show off your lowering springs??? if you are i would suggest powder coat everything, the struts and springs...

well, not at this time, no. i'm not going to be showing it off. i'm thinking ahead towards the future. i have no idea what i could be doing to the car. i could end up painting the whole inside of the fenderwell blue. the possibilities are endless at this point in time. like i said, i'm just thinking and pondering what could be done.
