my car is possesed by an evil demon

the only mods on my car is an injen cai and hyper blinker 6x.
lately when i turn on my right hand turn signal it goes super fast and then dies. and the signal stays on. also when i idle and i step out of my car with the right hand turn signal on i can hear my intake sucking in air as the signal clicks. *click suck click suck click suck*
and just yesterday i was pulling up to my driveway and i noticed that my a/c would turn off when my right hand turn signal light would turn on(not blinking just on).
im scared guys. i love my car too much to part with it.
i was thinking it was a grounding problem and i checked my bulbs too. they all work.
o wait. heres another thing. when the right hand signal turns on my parking bulbs blink too as well as the the turn signal bulb.
back to the grounding. i took off my bumper and checked that ground where the intake is.., its on pretty tight.
you think its my hyper blinker thats f-ing my car up?
sorry for the long post.
thanks for the help

the easiest diagnosis would be to remove the hyper blinker & see if that fixes the problem, if it doesn't then atleast you'll know It's not the blinker.

I still to this day do not understand the point of a hyperblinker... ??? What's the selling point on those... they blink fast? Here is my solution: take off your hyperblinker and throw it away, as this is obviously the root of your problems, and then come to the realization that a blinker that blinks fast is really just a broken blinker in the real world.

Sounds to me like your intake isn't grounded out properly. I know that's a 'problem' with the Injen CAIs - a right blinker not functioning properly. Check all that first, then remove your hyperblinker.

Well, this all points to the hyper blinker now doesn't it? It all has to do with the blinker. When the blinker circuit turns on, the electrical circuit is turned on and the engine must work slightly harder because of the electrical load. (I know it seems like it shouldn't need to work harder just for a little bulb right? But actually the solenoid that activates it takes quite a load, plus at idle the car doesn't make much power.) Anyways, the A/C may turn off because the hyper blinker is sucking too much electricity and somehow a circuit breaker is tripped so the engine doesn't stall. Thats my take on that. So yes, take out the hyperblinker!!!!

i would have to agree with injencivic. i think that the cai is grounding something. just make sure the intake is not hitting any open wires. if that doesnt solve it, then make sure you have your blinker mod. hooked up right... have fun. ADAM

ya i took mine to the local dealership and they stated that they thought it was my stereo system messing it up and i told them no its not that hehe, so they looked at it for about 3-4 hours and found it was the intake mounted wrong on a groundwire. so they fixed it closed the hood and covered it all under warranty!!! hopefully your dealership will help you out on that like mine!!! goodluck man but i am willing to bet money thats what it is

It is the CAI, I had the same problem with mine - actually I just grabbed an extra lock washer, it seemed to fix the problem. Good luck!

hmm. ok. i spent like an hr trying to remove my hyper blinker. its so hard. anyways. that didnt fix it. all the pain and sweating gone to waste. argg
i guess ill have to take off my bumper tomorrow to see if is grounded.
so all i have to do is to make sure that the intake isnt touching anything?
and that ground near the filter is tightly on.

Duce,

I guess I was proven wrong! Man it seems like they should include a note about that problem in the instrcutions and how to avoid it! That sucks! Seems weird too that there are open ground points around the engine bay like that. I think you have your problem solved though. Nice job boys...
