trim pieces

i am painting my trim pieces this weekend and i saw the DIY on the cender dash. but how do i take off the AC vent Trim pieces? and how do i put them, back on. do i just use the screwdiver and pull method?

Yeah, ya have to sort of push up and out at the same time...once thats done, just pull the unit out...I know, mine was a pain in the a$$ to get out...
