Went to the track yesterday with my EX

Hey guys i went to the track yesterday and I need opinions.
It was my very first time and I messed up bad, I shifted to first gear instead third gear, hhmm, I was so nervous that in the first run, I spun there in first gear all the way through 7000. I'll do better next time, I know I can!!! Here are the times:

REACTION 1.062
60FT 2.503
330FT
ET@594FT 10.088
1/8 ET 10.773
1/8 MPH 65.69
1/4 ET 16.716
1/4 MPH 83.34

what do you all think???

I think your lucky that your engine didnt stall, and that you didnt blow your engine. Someone here just did that doing the same thing as you with there RSX.

Thats a pretty good run. I ran a 1/4 ET 16.8 at 84.5 mph. I have a 5sp EX only engine mod is an Injen CAI. Plus that was my first day/second run ever on the drag strip.

See my mods? I have also been racing for about a year now and have the rythm down I am cutting .505 lights, and I drop the air pressure down to 23 psi on the stock firestones. I have the spare tire removed and about a 1/4 of gas.

Before getting the JET ECU upgrade, I was running 15.9's and 15'8's at best. I believe once I get new tires (since I can feel the car losing grip and also the tires bark in third gear) and the temperature goes down here in sacramento I should be in the 15.6's possible 15.5's .

There will be another grudge-fest on september 5th and 6th at the track where I race. Check my member ride for track info.

a 1.0 something is a horrible reaction time.
If you have an EX the stock 1/4 mi time is 16.4

With all the mods I have done, I am getting 15'7s

Well, you say 16.4 is stock as if that time was standard!
That might change depending of a lot of factors dude!
You might run 16.2 or 16.3 if you could run down here! You never know.
I might run 16.0 if i go there, it all depends, is not like every stock ex has to run 16.4...
I haven't seen any stock ex doing 16.9 or lower (stock) here!

Yeah I know that. I was running 17.3's to 17.4's when I was completely stock.

I noticed the biggest gain after the cold air intake. The headers come into play at 4100 rpm and the ECU being reprogrammed helped throught the whole power band. I can now bark the tires in third gear at around 55 mph.

I am getting some new grip, so I doubt I will be able to do that, but I think my 1/4 times will get better.
