gotta rotate tires
gotta rotate tires
ok so i gotta rotate the tires, and frankly i dont have the money lying around to do so. i want to use the tools in the trunk (yes i have changed a flat for a spare already) and i got jack stands. how will i know if the wheels are balanced when i switch front to back? or do i just have to watch them spin? what other stuff do i need to be aware of?

Your wheels are already balanced, but may have a pull to one side or the other due to tire wear...I change mine all the time....using the spare as a stand in until all are rotated....I've changed my Kumho's every 3000 miles...and now I'm pushing 30,000 on them with about 5-10,000 to go.......that's what good maintenance will give ya...Peace!
what i would do if you've never rotated them before, is just go the simple front to back, back to front method. don't need to worry about balance because your not putting on new tires. most of your tire wear comes from the front anyway. when you rotate your tires next time, just switch the right rear tire and front left tire, and vice versa. you'll save a lot of money doing it your own.

.....yeah unless you remove your tires form your rims and mount and balance with the by rotating...then you can cross them...which I just did,...to extend my tires that extra 5-10000.....and that is with my car being lowered and no camber kit......So I think I've got my money's worth from these tires!!!!!!
