exhaust from earlier model civic...

I know this guy who is offering me a free exhaust system (dunno the brand yet or anything) but I do know its a performance exhaust system. Its free cause its a friend of a friend and he wants to get rid of these parts from his earlier civic. I think its just a 6th gen civic. I wanna make sure that its ok to put that exhaust on the car, he also knows somebody who works at a performance shop that will weld it on for me for $40. Is there anything I should check for before I do this? Also what would I have to worry about in terms of warranty, cause I don't want to horribly void my warranty yet. I'm also planning on getting an Injen SRI soon for my car I think. Thanks in advance!

you could probably just take the muffler and get custom pipes from there

Yes the muffler will work fine, your warranty will not in any way be voided, possibly your exhaust warranty which means if your exhaust gets a hole which is very unlikely on a new car they will not cover it, big sh*t!
get some 2 1/4 piping on it and your car will be breathing properly...also forget the SRI, get a CAI, especially if you have manual trans.
CAI actually gives you some power
SRI takes away, or keeps it the same just adds some sound IMO and many others'

I thought everybody said the SRI was more effective on an automatic though, which is what I have. Am I wrong?

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
To me its too much trouble to worry iof the intake or the fuel contorller or the (place mod here) ruined my warranty i struck a deal with my dealership and i have all the stuff installed by them and i lose no warranties whatsoever apart from the part i replaced so all the mods i have are still under warranty
