Rep Power: 0 Honda Crankcase Pulley Removal Tool
Does anyone in the Orlando area have one of these they would be willing to loan/rent out for the day?
Honda Crankcase pulley removal tool
Costs $24 to buy, so I would be willing to buy it off you for that much, or rent it for less perhaps. I need to replace timing belt/water pump and it seems like this is a must have to get the job done.

Just lower the car to the ground (wheels touching ground) and put the car into gear or leave iit in park. Then get a huge breaker bar and loosen the bolt.

Wish I had a big *** impact...
I've heard it can take nearly 1200ft lbs of torque from an impact gun to break it loose.

When you say lower it to the ground, I assume you mean lowering it with both wheels removed since that would be the only way to get at the bolt. Am I way off here?

You can do it that way, but it will be extremely difficult to get in there with a breaker bar.
Buy the tool, get a nice big breaker bar and give it your best shot. You may want to use another person to help you. You might need to use heat if you don't have a impact gun. Maybe you would want to rent a heavy duty impact gun. I used heat but I ended up melting part of the timing belt cover that goes behind the bolt. I also changed the bolt since I used so much heat to get it out.

No the wheels and tires must be on the car with the tires touching the floor. You can access the bolt with a small extension and by removing the bumper. Then I used my jack bar, about a five foot bar and jumped on the bar lol. A good 2 jumps and that thing was loose.

prolly should make that a breaker bar instead. socket wrench wont be long enough to put all the torque down.
