Hey all! so, it looks like the 02 Civic headlight switch/coupler recall is not for my VIN...even though my Civic Si has the same exact issue described in the recall.

I'd like to save some money and do this fix myself. Can anyone give me some DIY info on how to replace the headlight coupler and switch? I'm pretty handy with cars, but don't know where to begin on this job.

here's the info i'm looking for;
1) Where are these parts located on the car (there's not much on the web about it)
2) Do you know the part numbers?? (for ordering new parts)
3) Please describe the steps I need to take to get it right the first time.

have you first checked ALL ur fuses?

how many fuse boxes did u check?

dealerships sometimes will try and tell you a recall doesn't cover your car...trying to make money... try another dealership. also, ephatch.com should have a list of all the TSBs and recalls....
