i am about to buy a 89 civic hatch and like 3 people told me i couldnt take the motor out from the top. and then like 3 people told me i could. i want someone who has done this before to tell me for real what the deal is. can i take the rear parts off my 95 integra and put them on the 89 civic without modification, and if so, how? i hate lookin @ drum brakes!

good, thank you. i just didnt know cuz i dont have the car yet and never messed with the 88-91. i didnt see why not, but didnt want to get in over my head cuz i got no lift to put the car on

You can take it out either way. Sometimes its easier and quicker to pull it out through the bottom. I have personally done it both ways, but being that I have a cherry picker, I prefer pulling it out through the top. That way you dont have to get the subframe realigned either.

strange question thats off topic... i dropped my subframe a while ago on my 01 ex... does that eman i need it aligned.. what would that do and how do i go about it???? thanx

Yes...you need to get it aligned. It probably isnt a HUGE deal if whoever put it back on knew what they were doing, but you should definitely get it checked out. When I take them off, I mark them and make sure they are as close to the same spot when I put it back on. If they arent paying attention, it can be put back on slightly crooked.

yes rear brake disc kit from an integra will fit you ef why ? because i've done it before and your asking how right well just let me put it like this everything will bolt right on your ef the only thing your gonna modify is the brake cable by that i mean you just have to adjust it .when i was gonna do it a lot of people told me a bunch of crap on how they wouln't fit and this and that . so most people were wrong .and yes your motor can come out either way from the top or the bottom i don't see why not . .
