Need help w/LED Washer wiring please

I read the DIY but I don't want them on a separate switch...I just want to hook them up so when I turn my lights on at night, they come on...if someone could tell me what wires I need to tap into I would greatly appreciate it...I don't feel like giving 40 bucks to some shop to do it...Thanx

I recommend using a switch. What do you do if a cop pulls you over for them? How are you going to turn them off? If you still insist on a hooking them up with the parking light switch, trace back the wire coming from your running lights and tap into that. You will need a volt meter to tell which ones are getting power when you turn on your running lights though. I have never looked so I have no clue. If I get a chance maybe I will check it out tomorrow.

I used to have them on a '99 hatch and had no problems with the cops...if you do get a chance to check that would be nice, I don't think a voltmeter would do me any good, I never payed attention in highschool when we played with those...

LOL.. I see if I can get to it after school tomorrow. Would you rather run a wire from under the dash through the firewall or from you front parking lights to yor washers? If you want to run it though the firewall that's pretty easy. If you want to run it from your headlights, I'll have to break out the volt meter... either way it doesn't matter to me.

Just tap into the wires for your parking lights. That way every time you turn your parking lights on, they come on...

Depending on what color you have, you will get pulled over. I did. I have red ones and even though i had a switch on em they still gave me the freakin ticket. They say they mimick emergency vehicles. And just in case you wanted to know how much the ticket was. 68 dollars. Ouch

the reason you wanna hook them up to your blinkers is not cause of the cops, its cause they are less rice and look cooler.

if you REALLY wanna hook them up (eventually im gonna get reds) do it to the blinkers.

and here in california if you have ANY lights in your car exterior that are visible to the front of the car, then you CAN be pulled over and issued a ticket....... and you will have to leg to stand on same with blue

BUT WHITE IS LEGAL!!!!! lemme know if you ever get pulled over with clearcorners in cali, ill pull up teh vehicle code that makes it legal =D

Well it sure sounds like livin' in the States sucks when it comes to adding to your car...I had the LED washers, glowing Honda "H" symbol, headlights, even neon lighting in my car, all on a '99 hatch and all blue in colour and no problems with the pigs...they are more worried about drinking and driving here in Canada then they are about silly blue lights...but back to my main question: what wires do I tap into?...anyone?

living in the sates with the vehicle code...sucking? it sure does! hahaha

but seriously, go to teh dealership if you dont have a haynes guide or the actual shop manual, and ask where the wires for teh turn signals are run, and what color they are. the honda people in cali are really nice (to me) and usually when i ask a question like this they will direct me to someone in the shop, who, if they dont know offhand, will bust out teh shop manual and look up the color. I even got a photocopy when I did it for my dash lights
