WRX engine in a civic????!!???!
Hey all. I would like to know if it is possible to put a sti or wrx engine in a 7th gen civic. Please let me know what you all think. Thank you for your time

Haha are you kidding? WRX's are only like $18,000, well mine was. The swap will cost WAY more than $10,000. The motors alone are around $9,000 alone. Good luck if you want to try this.

I second the "are you kidding?" Damn, besides the $9k for the egine, you're talking about doing everything custom. I doubt you could do this for less than $20k. What could you do with a WRX engine that you couldn't do with a supercharged K20?

Just by a cheap WRX.

You'd lose the RWD part of the tranny unless you wanna fab up a tunnel underneath the whole car and redo the entire interior. AWD is the best part about the drivetrain IMO.

You'd have to make it a rear engine car. The engine would take up your trunk and back seat. I'd love to see someone actually do that, that would be almost as cool as the twin engine del slo.
