my friend is actually taking his 97 eclipse auto and putting a brand new engine (not exactly sure which) with manual transmission in it... its only costing him like $20,000 but it wil be worth it!

only 20,000 thats insane!! are u sure its not 2000? cause 20000 grand for an engine swap is unreal. im not flaming im just wondering if you got 20000 and 2000 mixed up

yeah, unless he's dropping an engine from a ferrari or saleen, it definitely shouldn't be 20.000. That's just nuckin futs! You could always get an aftermarket transmission. I don't know how many there are for our cars, if any. Aftermarket transmissions tend to be stronger/better, i think.

If i were you, I'd sell it and get yourself a nice integra or a 99 or 98 SI, more power and more available mods.
