The 2 on the bottom aren't to bad. It's really the top one that can get you fired up. The best thing to do is to spray them liberally with wd-40 or something similar and allow it at least 5 minutes to work. I had a relatively easy time with the 2 bottom bolts because I have a ratchet that is like a foot and half long so I had extra leverage. I still groaned like a goat getting them loose though. The top I couldn't budge for the life of me. I sprayed it with some wd-40 and then smoked a cig. Crawled back under and it came loose without a problem.
i used my 3/8 pnematic ingersoll impact gun!! It was easy on the rear bolts near the rear suspension ! But had to use a propane torche to heat up cat bolts! If i remember right those had spring tensioners! So they would be sort of tough without an impact!! Dakota

The spring tensioners are in ther rear where the muffler connects to the the midpipe. Those were a piece of cake to get off. Oh yeah, pick up a tube of antiseize and put a light cote on the bolt threads. If you ever put the oem back on or need to take the system off for some reason, the bolts will be much easier to get off.
