Rep Power: 0 Who Has Painted Headlight Trims?
Does anyone have pics of painted headlight trims. What I mean is the housing that the headlight is in. I think it would be cool but I havent seen any pics of it. I was wondering if anyone has pics of them.

Can you give me some simple directions on how to paint them?
I know how to take them off.. just dont know what paint to use thats safe and wont burn up.
Also, how did you go around the edges? did you use a template?

Rep Power: 0 I've read the DIY's on this site and I was wondering if there is another way to clear those headlights without having to remove the bumper and all that. Please let me know if that is the only way or not... please send me a reply at

Rep Power: 0 Hey Renegade- just use high-temp spray paint. You can get it at Home Depot, I think the kind I used was Rustolium. Just tape off whatever part of the inserts you dont' want painted, and use several light coats.
Cue- you have to take the bumper off. Don't worry though, that's the easiest part of clearing your lights.

Rep Power: 0 Cue2k1 - you dont have to take the bumper completly off to clear your headlights, but it makes it a lot easier. If you take out all the bolts/screws except the one to the fender and the last screw on the bottom of the bumper, you will be able to move the bumper enough to get at the bolts on the bottom of the headlight, and it wont fall down. I also taped the body at the edge so i didnt accidently scratch it with the end of the bumper. But really, just find someone to help, its really easier then it sounds. In fact, the whole thing was really quite easy.
