Post Re-Attaching Cruise Wiring

History: A few years ago I put an EP3 steering wheel in my 2k1 coupe. My very dumbass friend thought it would be a good idea to cut the wires for the cruise and connect them to the wires on the EP3 wheel....retard. So obviously this didn't work and now I'm left with a car that has NO functioning Cruise Control. I want to sell the car soon so I'm trying to get 'er back into shape.

Question: I've since got my EM2 wheel back on the car (cruise not functioning). IF I can find the wires/connector he cut off my EM2 wheel...do you think I can just solder it back and get it to work? I really don't want to have to get a new Cable Reel ($284) just for one stupid wire.

Thanks!

Yes assuming nothing got blown or fried in your friend's attempt at splicing, then soldering them back together will work just fine.
