For some reason, I can't find how you can do that. Are those instructions correct?

Rep Power: 269 I even got pissed, and tried prying the black piece of plastic around the gold-silver shift bezel with a flat-head screwdriver, but that wouldnt work well either.

Rep Power: 346 Ok... I'm not quite sure where you're stuck but I'm guessing it's the first step

^^that step is correct. Grap the corners with your fingers and pull up. They're held in with self locking tabs... when you pull on them... it should pop off...

Rep Power: 0 Follow the DIY on this site for center console removal. Skip the first 3 pics and instructions on LEDautomotive.com. Then proceed from the 4th pic and instruction.

Rep Power: 0 yeah u need to take the entire center console out which when u know where the bolts are takes just a few minutes. then push in 4 separate tabs and pop it out, and you need to take hte shift **** off, which is held on by 2 screws.

Rep Power: 269 All done. All I have to do now is scratch or alcoholize that white paint on the little shifter piece.
