Question another hood question

This is kinda a weird question, but has anyone ever put their hood in the trunk/backseat (coupe). Will it fit?
I ask because I'm looking at buying a CF hood and I want to know if I can go and pick it up and fit it in my car to transport it home. I did a quick measure and it looks like it will fit between the opening in the trunk/backseat, but its going to be tight. I think I might take my hood off and give it a test, before I make any plans.

na, its a couple hours away.
no box though, I was going to put blankets/towels around the corners and stuff to protect it.

why not have them ship it to your house? it will save u the long drive and the hassle of trying to fit a big *** hood in your car... it shouldn't cost that much to ship it??

Yes it will fit! I've done it before... just fold down your rear seats and use lots and lots of towels/blankets.
