malfunction indicator lamp

i've searched, and found a few things, but i wanna know if there's anything i'm missing. okay.. i drive a 2002 DX, today i installed my EX Megan Racing Header, Greddy Evo 2 exhaust.. i drove for a while just fine, then the damn MIL came on all the sudden. i tried taking off the gas cap and putting it back on and it still stayed on. how long does it have to set before the light goes away? (if that is the cause) any other ideas on what could be wrong? and is it a serious thing, or just an annoyance? oh yah, my downpipe has no catalyc converter on it. if i spelled anything wrong, or made no sense.. just remember it's 2:30 am. lol.

It's probably something with the new exhaust and no cat. I think there's a part you have to buy or something that will fool the ecu into thinking everything is okay.

well, is everything okay? is it just because the ecu is catching it being there? or is something actually wrong? because if everything is okay, i don't care if it's there or not.

It should be safe to drive like that, but I don't know for sure. You want an oxygen sim or mil eliminator.

MIL? We don't have a MIL. We have a CEL and a MRL. It's your 02 sensor. Either order one from http://www.bigjoshracing.com or get one from the member on the site which is what I did. Forgot what his name was.

The kamikaze will kinda take away from the low end torque but the highend power is great feeling.
