a service consultant at honda advised me to get the following done:
"BG induction service decarbonize"
does anybody know what they wanted to do and what it is all about? they where going to charge me $172.66 for it..didnt have the money at the time so i said i will do it later. but im wondering what its actually about.
any body know? thanks- KonstantinG

Why does he suggest you do that to your car? It's probably some kind of engine flush for your fuel system to remove carbon build up in your engine. He's probably attempting to put you together because they make good money for each one they sell. Your car shouldn't even need that unless you have a lot of miles or use really crappy fuel. Here's alink to something close to what I think it is Link

It is basically cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner. It's BS. If the car runs fine, leave it alone. My neighbor had it done, and told me what they did. I laughed my a$$ off.

In my area i have SEEN the BG rep in the past pay CASH to service advisors on everyone they sell just as an FYI. Im not saying that the product dosent do any good or not, but i do know that similar types of product do work well at keeping the injectors clean and carbon build up cleaned out. As i recall the cost was less then $100 ?
I have done this to my car, but I bought the $30 valvoline 3 step system, but you have to have the right valve to do it!!(its like a drip system) Some of the kits come with it, but it is a little more expensive. It was crazy, there was so much carbon built up, and I only had about 32,000 on my car. It helped out alot!! Better throttle response, and better gas mileage!!
