Removing Cemented on Bodykit lol...

Well when my car got hit, the bodyshop I brought it to put my bodykit back on even though I asked them not to. Its only one of the side skirts but they used cement on a portion of it (of course where it touches the outside of the car).

I have to remove my bodykit...what is the best way to go about trying to remove the cement. I know I might run into some problems but I just want to know whats my "best bet" for success. And when I mean success, I mean not only getting it off but hopefully keeping the paint on my car.

Thanks

Ya well I plan on calling them...if the paint comes off, then Ill ask them to touch it up for free...They actually did an awesome job putting it on...its just that it doesn't come off easily like I wanted

well... at least think of it this way... when they put it back on for ya they did it right... if you ever want a kit to look good and clean molded to your car... u always gotta have it chemically bonded to your car... it's just chemical bond... not "cement"... it can come off just ask the shop

Ya I know. If I was keeping my car long term, I would have done the same. Like I said, Im not mad at the shop or anything. Most likely, if I heat it up, it will come off. Snowing here today so will try tomorrow. If not, Ill call them and go from there.
