okay, not a civic person, i'm a neon guy.
curious about some thing, so i have a list of questions.
stock 1/4 times for newer civics?
stock weight of newer civics?
tranny rations of newer (mtx) civics.
more questions to come, just can't remember them right now.

For weight and tranny ratios, just check honda's website. There's 4 different trim levels (lx, dx, ex, Si) and they all have slightly different curb weights and tranny ratios. The lower 3 (lx, dx, ex) are all around 26xx-27xx lbs and the Si is 29xx lbs.. As far as approximate tranny ratios, I dunno.. lol. Not sure about 1/4 mile times, either.

The new si holds in it the k20z3. Its a 2.0L DOHC I-VTEC motor that produces 197 hp to the crank and 139 lbs-ft of trq. The curb weight of the si is 2877 lbs.
The gear ratio is:
1: 3.267
2: 2.130
3: 1.517
4: 1.147
5: 0.921
6: 0.659
Final: 4.763
Not to sure on what the 1/4 mile time is but I run a 10 flat on a 1/8 mile and the newer si can beat me.

just googled it, and looks like it's about the same as far as stock quarter mile times. (of course ACR times being a little better=), but i'm not driving an ACR).
but don't know which civic it was compared to, know it was a 2010 mtx stock.
don't compare civics to 2nd gen neons. 2nd gen neons is where chrystler messed up.

i've been doing my research, and it looks like they're about the same as far as stock times, depending on what civic/neon you have, may be different.
what kind of neons have you raced at the strip? if you don't mind me asking.

The 1st gens and 2nd gens. And your talking bout the basic civics which have a r18 in them not the si k20. The new si is alot faster than me and they are stock and I have intake, race header, and exhaust.
