Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

I was trying to take off the dealership sticker on the back of my car and it was a bit tricky. I got a bit off but i was wondering if anyone knew of any tips or tricks to get it off.

Thanks!

Re: Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

Just leave the sticker in direct sunlight for like an hour and you should be able to just peel it off without using a heat gun or hair dryer..

OK well i got the sticker off, but there is a bit of discoloration between where the letters used to be and the paint around it. Is there any way to change that? or do I just have to wait for time to take is tole?

Re: Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

It will be like that for a while. Its because where the sticker was the paint under it has not faded and the rest around it has. Over maybe a couple of weeks it will change. It was like that to my car when I debadged it but its fine now.

for a good paint job, several thousand minimum. 5-10k for a good one.

Re: Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

ahh, gotcha. i'd just get them to blend into the fenders so you don't have to pay to paint the whole thing. mines actually got the same problem. some small chips on the front of the hood from small rocks.

Re: Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

If you go to a tint shop they have a clear cover you can get that will cover the bumper and the front part of the fenders and hood cant really see it at all and it will save all the dings and stuff. Costs around $500 but when it saves the paint and wont have problems and bad looks of bras then its well worth it.

Re: Easiest way to take dealership sticker off?

Yeah true but i would only get that if i got a new car, i bought mine used so its kind of pointless when there are chips already there.

An eraser wheel on a drill.
Come right off.
No damage.
Takes less than a minute.
