ok so i dont know where to start the education process so i figure i will vent/start here. Im not sure who the **** decided that any part that did not come from the factory is now all of a sudden jdm but i was browsing around the forums and justifiably so came across a thread called "reason why civic owners get made fun of" and upon further inspection of the idiot whose ride was being made fun of i saw that he and many others think JDM is somehow ebay headlights, tail lights, and ****ing cai.... now correct me if im wrong but isnt JDM supposed to stand for Japanese Domestic Market and generally it is used when referring to parts that came from japan or a car that looks like those in japan (generally a sedan not a ****ing coupe?!?!)

haha i feel you. i posted something similar a while back.

what jdm is NOT:

blacked out headlights
headlights with amber inside
orange sidemarkers
red rims
yellow foglights
any type of led or chrome taillight
stickers (advan, spoon, etc)
coupes
carbon fiber

what jdm IS:

clear headlights
clear sidemarkers
clear foglights
chrome trims
window visors
alloy/silver wheels
blacked out tails (jdm version)
rs grill
rear fog light

hope that clears things up for everyone.

this sedan is jdm styled. why? because it has real jdm parts on it. anything else is not. now you can say your sedan is jdm styled if it has real jdm parts, or if it has parts that look jdm, like cleared usdm headlights. a coupe can have jdm style too, even tho most people know there is no such thing as a jdm coupe. to say your car is actually jdm, it must be imported from japan. otherwise you can say style only. the more jdm parts, the more jdm style it has. this car has everything jdm except the rims. alpha5's car above also has some jdm styling and might be from japan too idk since its rhd.
