Transmission fluid

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Transmission fluid
Change automatic trans fluid every 30,000 miles, or more frequently.
What kind of car? What trans?

Re: Transmission fluid
Ok, then.
No machines, no chemicals.
Simple drain and fill of trans fluid. +
If you can change your own oil, this is just as easy.
If you want to get the majority of the fluid changed out, do this multiple times because each drain and fill only exchanges about 2.5 quarts and the trans holds a total of like 6 or 8 quarts.
I'd say drain and fill the trans along with the next few oil changes for convenience.
Make sure you have a funnel that will actually reach the fill hole before you drain the fluid!

Re: Transmission fluid
Honda does not recommend nor endorse anything but the correct spec fluid.
