2002 honda civic ex 2 dr speed sensors how many?
I was just wondering if anyone knew or knew how to find out how many sensors there are for a 2002 honda civic ex 2 dr because when i looked up speed sensors on auto zone it gave me the choice of section of Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and Sensor- Transmission speed. So I dunno if this meant there was two or what and also if the VSS controlled the speedometer and cruise control where the transmission one was for sending info to the ECU for shifting?

What trans--manual or auto?
Better yet, what is your specific problem?
On an automatic trans:
There are 2 speed sensors on the trans.
One is Input Shaft (mainshaft) Speed #13
the other is Output Shaft (countershaft) Speed #17
And a VSS mounted in the differential. #10
There is only a VSS on a manual trans.

the trans is an automatic and my trans seems to be shifting a little weird. people say that transmission shifting funny can also be caused by the speed sensor

It probably needs a trans.
Reman or overhaul.

Does anyone have a diagram great picture show me me locations of each one of the sensors I can seem to locate the main shaft input speed sensor Seventh Generation 05 Civic LX
