Rep Power: 0 Timing Belt and Cam Shaft Position Sensor Problem
Last Friday I had the timing belt replaced on my 2004 Honda Civic LX (roughly 110K miles). Today, the car died because of a Cam Shaft Position Sensor. The mechanic states they're unrelated. I'm wondering: has anyone else faced this problem? It seems to me to be an incredible coincidence that we've had this car for six years and no engine trouble--literally none--and then three days after they work on the engine the car dies. Thanks for your help.

More then likely he did something to the cam shaft sensor, if I can recall correctly it needs to be removed in a timing belt change.
