Rep Power: 787 take off glove box (one rubber holder on each side that you pop out) and then it will fold down. then you can take off that black piece and pull out each filter. one comes out and then the other slides and comes out.

The only filters that can be cleaned are filters that are replaced and designed to be cleaned, and the cleaning often involves putting oil back onto the filter. As far as I know, there are no cabin filters that are ment to be cleaned.

1.) Open the glove box.
2.) While holding the glove box (A), remove the glove box stop (B) on each side.

5.) Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B) and replace the filter.

Rep Power: 228 I went to Advanced Autoparts and got 2 replacement filters for 27 after tax. These are Purolator brand and it comes in a 2 pack(so they are around 13 each.) On the box it says "You should replace your cabin air filter every year OR every 12,000 to 14,000 miles"....
....
....
Eek I've never replaced my filter and I doubt the previous owners did either!

Rep Power: 228 I did my filters today. I didn't believe all the crap I found in it. 3 dead spiders, 6 busted acorns a bunch of those helicopter seeds... And enough dust to make a gaggle of dust bunnies.

I think Honda recommends replacing the filters every 30k. More often if you live in the city. $25 every 30k isn't really all that bad. Youll probably spend $5 on gas driving around trying to find a lower price.

I made my own filters out of home air conditioning filters. I sized them up and installed them in the trays. I will post pictures. It took me about 15 minutes to make and install.

Rep Power: 0 Handaaccessories are selling Micron brand ones for less than $10 each. Is Micron OEM replacement? I think in the meantime, I'm cleaning the original ones and then install replacements.
