60k questions, save me from honda dealers

guys,

sorry ive searched but still not satisfied, im about to DIY my 60k maintenance of my AT sedan($389 fee on my local honda), here are the things im about to do & need your help & corrections

1. transmission fluid change

buy 4 quarts from honda, drain then refill

should i do it once or three times as the manual says?
any pix where i can find the bolt? it doesnt show on my manual

2. brake fluid change

buy ATE superblue, remove bleeder valve, catch the old brake fluid w/ hose & pan, have someone pump it slightly while continously topping the reservoir w/ the new fluid until i see the blue fluid coming out of the bleeder w/c means the old fluid is gone

3. change oil & filter
4. change air filter
5. change dust & pollen filter

how about the power steering fluid? when should i change that?
when should i change my brake rotor?
when should i change my shocks?

please make any corrections & help is appreciated

thanx

tranny fluid is only 3 quarts if a auto tranny. The bolt is located under the tranny housing. It is a big bolt not hard to miss. All you need is a 1/2 ratchet for it. You dont need to drain and refill 3 times, one time is enough every 15k miles.

Now the way you just described to do your brake fluid, you will have lots of air in your system if you do it that way. You cant just have someone pump the brakes waiting for new fluid to come out. You need to start with the bleeder valve farthest from the master cylinder, have someone pump the pedal a few times then slowly push it in, then open the bleeder for a second then close, then have the person let off the pedal. That way no air is let back in. repeat this 5 times or so, and move to the next wheel untill all 4 are done.

Power steering fluid, just suck the old fluid out of the resovoir and add new fluid in. Now the shocks and brakes are basically done/replaced when needed, so check your brakes.
