aluminum base bushings

i just installed my revo ss today and also attempted to install the alumnium bushings from strutking. for some reason, once i put the top layer of bushings, the screw does not reach the thread so i cant screw it in, so i was wondering if there was a difference between leaving the top part free of bushings, would that damage anything? ( the bottom has aluminum bushings)

Re: aluminum base bushings

I'm assuming you bought the second generation of the Revo SS and unless i'm mistaken they re-designed it to eliminate the bushings all together. Therefore you shouldn't need the aluminum bushings that were a huge upgrade with the first generation Revo SS. I'd try removing the bushings and see what you get.
