Rep Power: 169 DIY Prelude Seat Swap
HEY! Im back with another great DIY for you guys! So one day i was at my local junkyard and came across a 92-95 Honda Prelude. I really liked the way the seats looked and they were super comfortable. THIS IS AN IN-PROGRESS SWAP
Look an your enemy, analyze it, know it better than you know yourself. This is the first time ive worked on the internals of any car seat, so bear with me. I also wont tell you how to take out your seat. Its pretty self explanitory.
Take off this panel because I said so
Next, take off that round plastic piece. Take off the body clip on the back and rip that thing off
On to the other side!
Take off the adjuster seat thing whatever on the back with a philips
Take off this body clip on the back
This is the trickiest part, youll have to manuever that sucker until you get it into this position, and then just lift it up
Now onto taking off the carpet/upholstry. Remove the plastic clips and whatnot. its pretty self-explanitory but ill throw in some pics cuz I love you guys
Rip that sucker out!
Now, there should be 8 silver bolts total and 4 black bolts near the back of the seat. There are 2 silver bolts on the front right, 2 on the front left, etc.
The blue is the black bolts and the red is the silver bolts. You should be able to find them easily
Now you gotta take off this adjusting cable off. Theres one on each side
Heres part of the seat pan
Heres the aftermath
