Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

Hi

The headlights on the right side hi and low beam work intermittingly. On rainy days they do not work at all. Looks like a corroded wire i did find a wiring diagram for a 01 to 03 is the 04 different?? If so can someone point me to a 04 diagram? Thanks<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

01-03 = single bulb per side
04-05 = 2 bulbs per side

Can't find 04-05... will attach it later, check back.

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

I removed the battery checked the bulb wiring all look good. I also removed the fuse box looked under where the wires terminate all look good, wierd all the plugs are packed with grease. I have never had an electrical problem in a GM car this is my 1st Civic had it since new also replaced the alternator last summer. I would hate to take it to the dealer if they have to trace the wiring it could take hours and hours. I will also try to find a diagram. Thanks

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

I googled the right side lights of on 04 Civic and it seems a common problem. I am wondering if the circuit in the turn signal is defective. Anyone remove the streering wheel covers to get at the turn signal?

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

I forgot to mention that I have a DRL (day time running light) flash every now and then on the dash and apperantly this will effect the head lights. This module is around $200 I found a fix on you tube

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

The low beams ground direct and are not associated with drl.

Here is the schematic, If you need further info let me know.

I can provide the theory section but the schematic explains a lot.

Sorry it took so long to attach.

Do you loose both high and low at the same time ?? or 1 or the other independent ??

90% of the time the right lights do not work (Hi/Lo) and at times the hi beam will only work and other times the low beam will not work and the DRL lights will not work on both sides at times. So I thought I would fix the DRL 1st and go from there.

Re: Headlight right side low/hi not working on 04

Ok I removed the DRL module (very easy in an 2004) I looked at the soldering points related to the 2 relays they all looked good I took the youtube advice and re-soldered all the points. I re-installed the module and everything works. If anything changes I will update. Just saved around $400 to $500 if I had taken the civic to the dealer.
