2005 Civic LX, Black, Black tint windows, stock, Flex Fuel, bought used, nothing fancy but RUNS like a TOP!
Thank you, Forum! I've already found answers here to fix 4 issues MYSELF so that's why I registered. This Forum is a great "real world" resource. Insights from those who have already "been there, done that" are invaluable. I really like reading thru all the steps from diagnosis to what worked, what didn't. I've found answers I needed + gained enough confidence to successfully tackle these issues MYSELF:
* Reprogrammed security system to turn OFF the horn "Beep" on Door Lock/Unlock
* Diagnosed + found a clever fix for tail lights that wouldn't turn off when car was parked/off
* Diagnosed overheating issue + learned why/how to "burp" radiator after adding coolant (Honda coolant, that is!)
* Diagnosed poor cabin A/C air flow + fixed it by replacing cabin air filters
Nothing major. But not too bad for a single female with no help! Yes, I like to save $, but even better is the hands-on knowledge of how things work.
Now a big THANK YOU goes out to the Forum User(s) that posted the download-able Shop Manuals for my gen Honda!! Kudos to you all for doing so. They are probably the best repair manuals I've ever used as a non-pro, weekend tinkerer.
Cheers, Linda "Broke Musician"
