I bought my first Honda used with 153,000 on it, it was all factory parts except general maintenance stuff. I have had the car going on 4 years and still running strong. It’s a 2003 Civic Lx sedan, great little car and good gas mileage. Now we are running on the 300,000 mile mark and I have decided to spend my money wisely and keep the car and do an engine rebuild it is a 1.7L SOHC Non VTEC. Recently only had issues with a bad radiator which was replaced by me. Then rear shoes were worn out so I replaced them. And had a bad starter a year ago and A/C clutch went out. Since I’ve owned it I’ve only taken it to have services done to it 3 times. 2 times being tires and 1 time being transmission filter as I do not have any training or personal experience in that department. Car runs super smooth, no check engine light (yes it does function just doesn’t have a reason to be on.) I do catch a lot of grief because I’m a female who just so happens to be pretty good with cars, internal, external, and electrical wise. I have no classical training it’s all just from trial and error. All in all I love my car, love working on it and finding out how it works and operates. I intend on keeping this car until the frame rusted out and falls apart. Hope everybody’s doing great. Bye!
