Re: General Questions new owner

with a 225/45, it will be taller as well. First number (225) is the width, the second number (45) is a percentage (I think) of the width, which represents the height (from rim to top of tire.

So a 215/45/17 will be a shorter tire vs a 225/45/17 and will throw the speedo off, but not by enough to really matter. maybe <5 MPH

Re: General Questions new owner

Speedo will be off by 1.4% which is very minimal.

Your new tire size will be .40 inches wider, so that will increase the width of your current tire by .20 inches on each side. Grab a tape measure and see if it hits anything.
