Smile New and ready to mod!

Just bought a 95 Civic LX 1.5L 5-Speed. Has around 100hp and 100 foot pounds of tizorque. Ok, so it's basically extra slow... and I want to change that! Can someone lead me to the beginners modders area if there is such a thing lol. I need to know what is the first thing I need to do. What things I can do to get cheap horsies. I am not rich I go to college so I'm actually in debt but I do want to put a little money into modding it. Cuz it's... slow... but faster than my previous car... 97 corolla auto.. psh... no. So ya, if someone could lead me in the right direction. I'm thinking cold air intake to unleash a little power? I'm new! Help me! (:

Thanks!

Re: New and ready to mod!

yeah intake should give you a lil boost.. then buy a full catback exhaust and a headers! these 3 combined together will give you a good airflow and you should notice a lil difference after adding it.. lol

roughly cost around $500-700

Will this increase or decrease my mpg rating?
