New to Honda.
New to Honda.
Hey everybody, thought my first post should be my introduction. I really suck at these so I will just get right to it. I'm new to Hondas, I know nothing about them what so ever. Infact I won't lie I used to be one of the guys that flammed Honda owners, and called them ricers. But then reality smacked me in the face when I looked at what I was driving (97 Chevy Cavalier Z24) and realised that I had no room to talk. Then I took that 97 Cavalier and ran a 14.5 (1/4) NA auto at MoKan in Ausbury, MO. Anyways back on track (no pun intended). I have for a while now had a great deal of respect for Honda vehicles, and I can't lie I fell in love with the black Civic with the green underglow just like every body else. But I have never really thought of owning a Honda until just recently, and when I mean reacently I mean about six hours ago. Now I'm not going to start talking about how I'm going to put down 680whp on 22psi, and all that big talk. Actually this will probably be the last post you will see from me for a while. Because I have a lot of reading to do, and a lot to learn about. And before I buy a Honda I need to pay off my daily driver which is a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. But so far in the last six hours I have decided on a 6th generation CX with a B16B swap. I want this to be a fun weekend/track car, something mild but something that will blow the doors off of a lot of things on the road. So I'm also leaning towards a turbo setup in the 6-8psi range. And I'm wanting to keep the car simple and clean, give it a nice JDM look about it. I'm in no hurry to complete this car, I want to take my time and learn what makes these cars tick. I want to make sure the engine I purchase is in tip top shape and able to handle the boost. And since I don't plan on having this car on the road for years money is not going to be a huge deal. Just one piece at a time until it is finished. Sorry that I'm so long winded and if you took the time to read this thread, thanks. I can't wait to hear what each and every one of you have to say about my future plans, and if anybody reading this is in the Springfield, MO area send me a PM or email me. I would love to get to know you and learn from you. I want to know as much as I possibly can before I even buy my first Civic. Take care.
