Headlights fogging up...
Headlights fogging up...
Hi I got some Sonar projectors and I got a big issue with them constantly fogging up. I've resealed them, sockets sit tightly, everything I could do I did to prevent this but still when I turn my low beam on after about 20 minutes bastards do the same thing. Should I try taking the rubber thingys off in the back? Any other suggestions, thanks.

pull them off and put some clear silicone where the clear lense and the back of the headlight meet.
my guess is that they weren't sealed correctly to begin with. you say the rubber in the back is sealed tightly, so i dunno...

yeah throw some silicone on them.. if you tape off the lense then do the silicone.. then remove the tape when its still wet it comes out nice and clean.. if you wait to remove the tape till the silicone is dry theres a good chance it will just pull right off.. and dont worry about using yer fingers.. it takes like 2 minutes to dry on human skin then you can just peal it off like you did with white glue in elementry school..
my aftermarket headlights have lil "hose vent things" on the back.. so i know they are not air tight.. but they dont fog up so who knows..
