Rep Power: 296 Purposely taken with glare. Doesn't do that to other drivers. =)

Video of HID start up plus high and low beams.
Let it D/L and play in WM...hopefully it works.
Off topic: Impulse hope you got my e-mail I sent a while ago.
I'm looking for TYC's to retrofit so sometime soon I'll be needing a new kit plus an extra set of bulbs to I can hack my old kit and use them for fogs.

what people fail to realize is that the Civic's headlights were not designed for HID's... so no matter what, throwing in aftermarket kits will still get a tremdous amount of glare...

Rep Power: 787 I would't say tremendous. I almost never get flashed unless there are bumps in the road or a hill. The kit I have IS made for halogen housing and has the glare shield that works well. It's not a perfect cutoff obviously, but pretty darn close. I've seen other stock cars with worse glare or aim like nissanZ, echo, and others. So I would say I'm grouped with the oem people and not the ricers I see all the time.

Also, oem isnt crap. HIDs in our oem housing still help out more than halogens, so the purpose is served.

Hey JayFReaZy I got the same projectors and this made me think twice before converting to HID, on the back of those lights it says no HID, did yours work fine with HID and did not melt or anything like that?

Rep Power: 279 HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. They are the type of lights on the higher end vehicles such as BMW, Mercedes, Acura TSX/TL/RL, Nissan 350z, etc...
You can research stuff at www.hidplanet.com and just read up.
