Question Full Size Spare?

I recently put new tires on my car and kept a pretty good tire to use as a spare. Does anyone know if there is a steelie style 17" rim that will fit a 04 Civic? I would like to have a full sized spare, but don't really want to buy another matching rim. Thanks

i dont think they make steelies that big in 4 lug patterns...they're usually 5 lug or 6...biggest they usually come are 16inches...most cars with fullsize spares usually have an extra rim...my 03 Q45 has a full size rim with spare...same with a 04 lexus es330...

You could just get a wheel- tire combination with the same overall diameter. Use one of the original factory wheels as a spare.

bingo.
You don't need a 17" steelie when a 14 clears the brakes.

yeap, i tossed one of my original 15" steelies in the trunk with a halfway decent tire as a spare - it just keeps the floor board in the trunk higher than usual. its great to have if you have a lowered car.

he said he had a spare tire which was 17"s...thats why he was looking for a 17" steelie...if u have a smaller rim and tire the ride gets messed up when u have an uneven sized tire...especially if u have rims

like was already said. the stock 14" steelie will have the same overall diameter as the 17" rim, therefore no need for a 17" steelie.

Actually, the over all diameter is a perfect solution... duh, it's so obvious LOL
My 17" tires are actually almost the exact outer diameter as my stock wheels/tires.
I'm just gona toss one of my old steelies in the trunk.
