Motor Mounts issue
Changing out the drivers side mount, bought this one from Autozone. Won't fit, the lip is too wide to slide into the engine mount bracket. Autozone says that's the one, period, but there is no way it fits. Are there different part numbers for coupes and sedans?

Turns out there sure is. Had the guys at Autozone check for 2002 civic, and there they were--two types, one for sedans and one for coupes.

Aftermarket mounts generate all sorts of vibration complaints because they are usually harder than stock. Factory mounts are softer. Choose carefully.

HAH.. I threw on the energy suspension polyurethane insert in my front motor mount before it tore all the way through. THAT my friend, is vibration. I don't mind it though. I never have to worry about that mount now. Just the bolts on the rest of the car vibrating loose.

Computers sucked back then too....We had hand cranked modems and wood burning servers.
It was a 63 Bug. Clapped out with a Baja kit, open header w/megaphone, jacked up, Desert Dog tires that would throw 20 foot rooster tails, fiberglass one piece tilt front end, it survived some 4 foot jumps, and I drove it 150 miles each way every other weekend between school and home. It lasted me about 3 years.
Computers sucked back then too....We had hand cranked modems and wood burning servers.
It was a 63 Bug. Clapped out with a Baja kit, open header w/megaphone, jacked up, Desert Dog tires that would throw 20 foot rooster tails, fiberglass one piece tilt front end, it survived some 4 foot jumps, and I drove it 150 miles each way every other weekend between school and home. It lasted me about 3 years.

Had a '67 bug. I don't think I've ever worked on a car more often than that train wreck... Oh, the clutch cable memories... *shudder*
