Rep Power: 0 honda civic 1997 airbag light on
car is a Honda civic 1997 R reg. the SRS airbag light is staying on
The car was washed a few hours earlier, then the airbag light was staying on, not sure if the car wash is related.
Ive had a look for the connectors under the seat but cant see any, anyone advise

Rep Power: 0 I had to have my SRS controller replaced twice on my 97. First was at abut 4 years and then the next one failed within a year after that. You might want to have it tested. They told me if that light is on, the bag will not deploy in an accident. I also read online that it could deploy for no reason although my local honda Service Tech did not believe that.

Rep Power: 0 Off hand, I think installed the controller was somewhere around $500 - $700. I don't remember though, that was 5 years ago.

Rep Power: 0 yeah the controller for the front airbags is about 450 bucks, so the dealer shoud fix it if they don't or are too stupid you need to call up American Honda and tell them the problem, be sure to have your VIN and they should be able to help you out in the event the dealer does not do thier job properly.
