2009 Civic Si USB not working suddenly

Since I've had my 09 Si I have used the USB audio interface with my iPod Touch with no problems. Now all of a sudden there is no sound coming out of the speakers. I checked the iPod, its working fine (now using it through the AUX port which is a pain). The song info comes up on the display, the volume on both is turned up (if that matters on the iPod). Anyone have any idea what could be going on? I would like to resolve this without having to spend 4 hours/days at the dealership. Thanks in advance!

Have you gotten any feedback or figured out what's going on? I've got a 2009 Honda Fit and have the exact same problem. If you've been able to solve yours, I'd like to know what you did!

thanks.

did any of you happen to update your ipod software/firmware? sometimes done automatically thru itunes program when uploading songs. it could be newer version is not compatible with the usb interface in the car. try to roll back to an older firmware on the ipod. also try some other ipods if you know friends that have one.

Re: 2009 Civic Si USB not working suddenly

In my case, it happened in the middle of the day. It worked as I drove into the office. Didn't work when I drove home. Didn't connect the iPod at work, so no chance for a system update during the day. Was thinking of disconnecting the car battery and 're-booting' the car radio...

thats a good idea. sometimes you have to fiddle with the connection too like unplug and plug in the ipod so it sees it again.

Haven't heard anything back... still no sound from my iPod I haven't tried rebotting the system by pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery yet, though.

Re: 2009 Civic Si USB not working suddenly

Finally got it to work, but I'm not sure exactly what I did right. I connected my wife's iPod to the car and it worked okay, so I assumed the problem was with my iPod. (I never re-plugged mine back in to see if it still didn't work.) I connected my iPod back up to my computer and did a complete reset, including reloading everything from iTunes back onto it. It's worked okay ever since (3 or 4 months now). Hope that helps!
